• Meghan Stufflebeem

    Director

    Meghan is the Director of Galilee Montessori and holds a Bachelor's in Biology from the College of William & Mary. She received her Lower Elementary Montessori training from the Montessori Teacher Education Center in San Francisco, California. She is a member of the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the International Montessori Council (IMC). Meghan, a native of Chicago, settled in Virginia Beach with her husband Mark. They have three children and enjoy spending time in the great outdoors.


  • Erica Austin

    Administrator/School Nurse

    Erica joined the Galilee Montessori community in the fall of 2014. She received her Bachelor's in Kinesiology from the College of William & Mary and her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University. Erica and her family enjoy spending time outside.

  • Jessica Langley

    Lead Teacher, Toddler

    Ms. Jessica gained interest in Montessori while her twin daughters attended a Montessori Toddler Program in Key West, FL. She completed her Montessori Infant/Toddler Teacher Certification at Village Montessori Training Center in Miami, FL. Jessica holds a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida. Prior to joining the Galilee family, she worked as a Registered Nurse in adult and pediatric Intensive Care Units. Jessica resides in Virginia Beach with her husband, Peter, and their three daughters. They enjoy spending time riding bikes and having dance parties in their living room.



  • Ashley Bauer

    Lead Teacher, Children's House I

    Ms. Ashley grew up in Gloucester, VA and is a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College. While at school, she studied Elementary Education and worked in the Recreation Sports and Outdoor Activities office. She has been a part of Galilee Montessori for over five years. Ashley completed her primary Montessori Training in the summer of 2014. Ashley, her husband and their two German Shepherds enjoy spending time at the beach.



  • Anne Evans

    Lead Teacher, Children's House 2

    Ms. Anne holds a Bachelor's from Belford University and an American Montessori teaching certification from the Virginia Commonwealth University Teacher Training Program. Anne has been a teacher at Galilee Montessori for more than 25 years and is a member of both the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the North American Montessori Teachers’ Association (NAMTA). Anne has three grown children and two grandchildren, whom she visits frequently in Chicago. Anne and her husband, CD, enjoy traveling the world and can boast having ventured to all seven continents. 

  • Jaime Terranova

    Lead Teacher, Children's House 3

    Ms. Jaime joined the Galilee Montessori community in the summer of 2017. She received her Bachelor's and Master's in Elementary Education from James Madison University. Jaime worked for Galilee Church for two years before transitioning to Galilee Montessori. She has a yellow lab named George and enjoys the beach, soccer, hiking and traveling.

  • Anne Stackhouse

    Lead Teacher, Lower Elementary

    Ms. Anne earned her Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Defiance College in Ohio. Originally from Michigan, Anne relocated to Norfolk, VA in 1985 to pursue her career as a Montessori teacher. More than thirty years later, Anne continues to instill a love of learning in her students. Certified in both Primary and Lower Elementary, her wealth of knowledge is a treasure that benefits our entire school community. Anne and her husband live in Norfolk and enjoy going to the theater and traveling. 

  • Stefanie Trute

    Assistant, Toddler

    Ms. Stefanie came to Galilee Montessori in 2016 as a substitute teacher. She transitioned into her role of Toddler Assistant in the spring of 2017. She is prior military and has her Associate's Degree from St. Leo University. Stefanie has four children and two dogs that she enjoys spending time with.

  • Maria Koster
    Assistant, Children's House 1

    Ms. Maria, a native of Colombia, moved to the United States in 2008. She earned her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Marshall University and has been working with children of all ages for the past five years. Maria lives in Virginia Beach with her husband, Marcelo, and their chocolate lab, Moche. She enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family.

  • Lucy Barabas

    Assistant, Children's House 2

    Ms. Lucy joined Galilee Montessori in the fall of 2017. She holds a Bachelor's in Primary Education from London's Roehampton University and spent the first six years of her career teaching in England and Italy. Originally from England, Lucy recently relocated to Virginia Beach with her husband. They enjoy traveling, spending time with family, skiing and spending time outdoors. Weekends are spent making pizza and attending church.

  • Becky Costanzo

    Assistant, Children's House 3

    Ms. Becky joined Galilee Montessori in the fall of 2015. Originally from Ohio, Becky, her husband and two daughters relocated to Virginia Beach in 2009. Becky is very involved at her church and enjoys spending time at the beach!

  • Sarah Coles
    Intern, Elementary

    Ms. Sarah began her Montessori journey when her oldest son entered Children’s House III in 2012. She holds a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from the University of New Orleans. She is presently working towards earning her Montessori certification in both lower and upper elementary from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies. Sarah lives in Virginia Beach with her husband, Joseph, their two boys, and the family dog, Kaelo.

  • Aimee Shenigo

    Spanish Instructor and Lower Elementary Assistant

    Ms. Aimee joined Galilee Montessori in 2016 as the Elementary Spanish Teacher. In 2017, Aimee transitioned into her current role as the Elementary Assistant as well as the Spanish Instructor for Elementary, Extended Day and Extracurricular Spanish. She has taught elementary for 18 years, spending the last seven years as the lead Lower School Spanish teacher at Cape Henry Collegiate. She holds two undergraduate degrees from Radford University; a BBA in Marketing and a Bachelor's in Spanish. In addition, she holds a current State of Virginia teaching License in Spanish for prekindergarten through grade 12. During the summer months, Aimee and her family enjoy traveling, outdoor activities and photography.

  • Kylie Costanzo

    Intern, Children's House 1

    Ms. Kylie joined the Galilee Montessori community in 2016 as an assistant in the All Day Montessori program, as well as with nap-time. She is referred to as the "Nap Whisperer" due to her uncanny ability to get the nappers to sleep with ease. Kylie is currently an intern in Children's House I as she completes her Montessori Primary Certification. She is also a full-time student at Old Dominion University and will complete her Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies this spring. Kylie enjoys spending time with her friends, family and two dogs.

  • Dennise Raffo

    All Day Montessori Assistant

    Ms. Dennise, also known as our resident "Mother Goose," joined Galilee Montessori in January of 2015. She began her teaching career at St. Christopher's in Richmond and has taught for over 35 years. Dennise, her husband, George, and their dog, Clarkie, live in Virginia Beach. She enjoys reading, spending time with her grandchildren and taking Clarkie for walks.
